ActionsTalk hooked up with Gary Vaynerchuk for an interview into how and he’s used the social web to seriously build his brands. WineLibrary the wine retailer, WineLibraryTV the video blog, and Gary Vee the personal brand have grown significantly over the last few years and I’m sure Gary will attribute much of that growth to the social web.
Gary is a mastermind behind personal branding and with his absolutely authentic and energetic persona he has growth a following and a customer base that is ridiculously loyal.

Again much thanks to Gary and Matt Sitomer for making this interview happen!
Best line: “Do everything for them. Who cares what you want. It’s all about what they want.”
Gary really is an icon in personal branding. His talks are inspirational and entertaining to say the least.
@Ben he’s definitely entertaining…many people find him to be a bit to much to handle but once you realize how REAL the guy is his energy becomes inspiring! thanks for the comment bro.
Here is one of my favorite Wine Library TV episodes featuring Gary V with Jim Kramer of Mad Money. Can you believe how much energy there is in that room?! Check it out:

The most interesting part of this video, and it was based on a good question about when views spiked, was when Gary talked about the two articles written about him.
It just goes to show that a good social media strategy is only part of your overall marketing. Mainstream media is still important and can get you huge exposure that may or may not happen with social media alone.
@Alain I completely agree. The same thing happened with ActionsTalk. Social media was a great way to get things started and continues to be a great way to keep things moving – but there was a noticeable spike when we broke into some mainstream media.
[...] first book on wine, he sent me a free copy just because I emailed and asked. Then when we wanted Gary on ActionsTalk, he happily filmed our interview and was one of our most watched webisodes
Again, thanks [...]
