#23 – bizMe.biz

#23 – bizMe.biz

Happy New Year from ActionsTalk! We’ve been on a brief hiatus for the holiday season, but now we’re back with a fresh crop of startup spotlights!

This week, Blake met up with Amanda Guralski, founder of bizMe.biz, at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Amanda discusses everything from how she got the idea to start an online magazine for young professional women to what her hopes are for the future. Another great Milwaukee startup!

Ms Guralski mentioned the possibility of “sponsors” for each of her website sections as one way to generate revenue for her company. She might also consider adding free links to websites for businesses offering services related to each of her website sections. In return, she could ask those businesses she highlights for a percentage of all sales generated from people who identify their purchase as “driven by the bizMw.bizt site”.

    Hi Dennis,

Thanks so much for watching the video on my business. I truly appreciate your insight in helping me generate ideas on how to start getting some revenue. That is a wonderful idea and if you have any suggestions on companies I should be looking at or companies that are already doing this sort of thing, please point them in my direction.

Again thanks for watching and be sure to tell people about bizme.biz!

I am very impressed with the way that you formulated the idea of Bizme and then placed it into action. I understand that this took several months if not years to get to where it is now but if you were to provide advice to the novice entrepeneur that has the ‘idea’ and no action plan yet, can you recommend some specific actions that you took to get to where you are today? In other words what were the key/vital steps that you took to be where you are today? What worked? Did you have an organized detailed game plan, did networking provide an opportunity? Then finally, if you were to have it all over again what would you not do?

  4. Hi Erica,

What an exciting time you are about to go through. I could write for hours on all the things that I did to get to where I am. Why don’t we set up sometime that we can talk over phone or if you are in the Milwaukee area, we could meet for coffee. Please email me at amanda@bizme.biz. I love talking about getting started.

Thanks for watching the video and please spread the word on bizMe!

    Amanda
